FCS 2140 - Child Development A dynamic study of the developmental characteristics and needs of children, prenatal through middle childhood (with an emphasis on ages three to ten). Examines child developmental research, theories, and influences and the role of caregivers, educators, and family systems in relation to children’s changing and interconnected physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs. Structured fieldwork hours within a range of care/educational settings are required.
