GRN 1000 - Introduction to Aging Studies


Introduction to the content associated with aging studies. Course elements include historical milestones in the development of aging as a subject of study; the aged as a special population; heterogeneity among older persons; the aging network; health systems; and health and allied health professions. This course satisfies WMU Essential Studies Level 1: Foundations – Inquiry and Engagement: Critical Thinking in the Arts and Humanities Category. This course also meets the Diversity and Inclusion student learning outcome.
