MKTG 2900 - Introduction to Food Marketing As the introductory course for the Food Marketing program, this course provides an overview of the food and consumer package goods (CPG) industries. It introduces the different theories and functions involved with retailing food and fast-moving consumer goods. Topics include the marketing functions performed by producers, manufacturers, wholesalers, and retailers, consumer shopping, purchasing, and consumption behavior. Retail merchandising techniques and basic concepts of category management are introduced through case studies presented by industry partners of the Food Marketing program.
Credits: 3 hours
