AAAS 4800 - Special Topics in African American and African Studies This capstone seminar is designed both to examine critical issues central to the African diaspora and to produce quality research through investigating African, African American, and diaspora literature, history, philosophy, and culture from perspectives that engage critical thinking and theorizing regarding African Americans, Africans, and peoples of African ancestry in the African diaspora. Students will explore a variable topic and produce a capstone piece of writing that prepares them for a prospective career or profession as connected to African American and African Studies.
Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisites: AAAS 2000 or AAAS 2100 or AAAS 3000 or AAAS 3010
Credits: 3 hours
Restrictions: Restricted to African American and African Studies majors.
