ACTY 6130 - Advanced Accounting Systems This course provides a theoretical framework with advanced knowledge and skills related to accounting systems. The course will focus on contemporary and emerging accounting systems design, data analytics, research and problem solving. Students will have hands-on experience with software, teamwork, critical thinking challenges, and effective presentation of solutions. Concepts will be applied to financial, managerial, auditing or governmental accounting topics. Material covered will include aspects of computer and data science.
Note: Open to graduate students only.
Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisite: ACTY 3130 with a grade of “C” or better.
Credits: 3 hours
Restrictions: Enrollment in HCoB graduate business courses requires admission to the MBA or MSA program or the approval of the Director of Graduate Business Programs.
