AAAS 3140 - The Black Community: Historical and Contemporary Perspectives An investigation of the cultural, social, economic and political forms and structures that interface to influence the experiences, conditions, and perspectives of members of the Black or African American community. The course addresses sociological, political, economic, psychological, and physical aspects of community building by members within the Black or African American community, inclusive of internal and external forces. This course satisfies WMU Essential Studies Level 3: Connections – Local and National Perspectives Category. This course also meets the Diversity and Inclusion student learning outcome.
