PHIL 3110 - Political Philosophy

An examination of fundamental problems arising from political and social relationships. The main emphasis is on such political value concepts as liberty, equality, human rights and justice. Topics that might be considered include, but are not necessarily restricted to: the nature and basis of political authority and obligation; civil disobedience; tolerance and dissent; the aims of political institutions; law and morality. This course satisfies WMU Essential Studies Level 3: Connections – Global Perspectives Category.
