PHIL 3130 - Philosophy of Law The nature of law and legal systems. Questions studied include: the relation between law and morality; theories of constitutional and statutory interpretation; basic rights including the rights to privacy and maximum liberty; the definition of criminality and the justification of punishment; excuses. This course satisfies WMU Essential Studies Level 2: Exploration and Discovery – Societies and Cultures Category.
