SPAN 3700 - Spanish Literature in English Translation The purpose of the baccalaureate-level writing requirement is to provide students with an opportunity to improve their skills in writing expository prose in English. The class readings will familiarize the students with literary selections in translation from the Spanish-speaking world, both Spanish America and Spain, as well as selections from several Latino cultures in the United States (Cuban-American, Chicano, Dominican-American, U.S. Puerto Rican, among others).
Note: Prior completion of ENGL 1050 (WMU Essential Studies Level I: Foundations — Writing) is strongly encouraged.
Credits: 3 hours
Restrictions: Restricted to Spanish majors - junior standing only.
