PAPR 5100 - Printability Analysis Students will learn about major impact and nonimpact printing processes, inks, and substrates used for them. The surface energy of the substrate and surface tension of ink involved in each process as well as the physical features of the substrates will be discussed. Print quality will be studied and measured using spectrophotometry, and image analysis.
Note: Open to upper-level undergraduate and graduate students.
Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisites: PAPR 2420 or PAPR 3420. A minimum grade of “C” or better is required.
Credits: 3 hours
