BIOS 5545 - Human Impact on Great Lakes Ecosystem Utilizes lecture and multimedia discovery methods to investigate how human activities impact the Great Lakes Environment and how current policy initiatives are attempting to restore Great Lakes Ecosystems and protect human and ecosystem health. EPA’s Lakewide Lake Michigan Management Plan (www.epa.gov/glnpo/lamp/lm_2008/index.html) will serve as a guide for environmental issues to be addressed in the course.
Note: Open to upper-level undergraduate and graduate students.
