CHEM 5150 - Inorganic Chemistry This course, along with CHEM 5700 and CHEM 5750, provides a capstone chemistry experience for undergraduates. The course will present the principles of inorganic chemistry in terms of its relevance to the “real world” of industry and environmental protection. Topics include symmetry, structure, and bonding, as well as a survey of the descriptive chemistry of the elements. Students are strongly advised to have already completed CHEM 5700 and to be registered simultaneously in CHEM 5750.
Note: Open to upper-level undergraduate and graduate students. Undergraduates with junior or senior status and 12 credit hours in chemistry may enroll in 5000-level courses with prior approval of the department chair.
Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisite: CHEM 4310 or permission of instructor
Credits: 3 hours
