ED 6060 - Math and Science Learning for Preschool and Kindergarten Aged Children

This course focuses on play-based curricular approaches for teaching math and science concepts for preschool and kindergarten-aged children. Course content will be structured around capitalizing on children’s natural curiosity by providing access to an enriching environment, structured interactions and play-based opportunities. Following the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) guidelines, content on mathematical concepts will follow the Early Childhood Standard of Quality for Prekindergarten (PreK) and Kindergarten (K).
