SOC 6040 - Sociological Theory II

An intensive and critical study of key directions in sociological thought in the second half of the 20^th century and the first part of the 21^st century. The course will examine the historical context of social theories, key methods used n analysis, explanatory logic’s and social structures, interaction and change, patterns of influence among theorists, and the uses of theory for analyzing social problems and issues.
