ENGL 6930 - Supplemental English Language Arts Methods

A supplemental course in English language arts pedagogy designed to enhance student knowledge in teaching English language arts for students with previous ELA pedagogy coursework. The course will prepare students to teach successfully in grades 7-12 English language arts. This course includes content and assessments that address the Michigan Department of Education English language arts standards for teacher certification.

Note: This course is only open to students in the MAT-SE English who have either (1) completed the WMU English PSEP (Pre-Secondary Education Pathway) curriculum or completed (2) ENGL 6920: Theory and Practice in Teaching English Language Arts.

Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisite: Admittance to MAT-SE program (English)
