GEOS 6330 - Geomechanics and Fractured Rock Applications Concepts and principles of geologic stress fields, rock mechanical properties, characteristics and propagation of geologic discontinuities, and techniques of rock fracture characterization and interpretation for application to diverse scientific problems, including carbon storage and sequestration, contaminant transport, geologic waste disposal, geothermal energy, oil and gas reservoirs, and water resources.

Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisite: Graduate-level standing or permission of instructor; GEOS 4300 recommended with a grade of “C” or better.
