FCS 5810 - Nutrition, Physical Function, and Healthy Aging


Study of the science of aging, the role of nutrition in aging, and strategies for healthy aging; identification of chronic diseases, nutrient requirement adaptation, and evidence-based nutrition interventions; and skills for promoting older adult wellness and informed nutrition policies.

Note: Open to upper-level undergraduate and graduate students.

Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisites: FCS 4690 with a grade of “C” or better, or an equivalent transfer.
 

Credits: 3 hours

Restrictions: Restricted to students in the Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics Program.
