GEOS 4350 - Sedimentation and Stratigraphy This course is an introduction to sedimentary geology and the interpretation of the stratigraphic record through application of principles of sedimentology, stratigraphy, and sedimentary petrology. Geological hazards in modern earth surface environments are also considered. Laboratory exercises focus on the application of modern concepts and methodology used in the analysis and interpretation of the sedimentary record. The course includes a required four-day field trip. This course satisfies WMU Essential Studies Level 3: Connections – Local and National Perspectives Category.
Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisites: GEOS 3010 and GEOS 3020
