GEOS 3020 - Field Geology and Geomorphology The first half of this course introduces students to basic field methods including field safety, site and rock description, and map and cross section construction. The second half of the course introduces the students to the basic principles of geomorphology including landform analysis from topographic maps and aerial and satellite imagery, classification of landforms, and tools used in describing landforms. One or two field trips may be required.
Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisites: GEOS 1000 or GEOS 1300 or GEOG 1050, with a grade of “C” or better
Corequisites: GEOS 3010 (may be taken concurrently)
Credits: 3 hours
