DANC 1200 - Jazz Technique I

An introduction to the art of jazz dance, designed for dance majors and minors, primarily concerned with development of technique. The emphasis is placed on alignment, movement isolation, rhythmic awareness, basic vocabulary and both percussive and free-flow combinations. Students will continue in DANC 1200 until advanced to DANC 2200 by the instructor. Repeatable for credit.
