The 37 hour Orientation and Mobility degree program prepares Orientation and Mobility specialists to work with children (OMCM). This program includes instruction in the typical O&M curriculum to prepare children to move independently, safely, and efficiently in their homes and communities. In addition, this degree provides focus on areas such as body image, sensory-motor skills, and concept development. Graduates are eligible to become certified orientation and mobility specialists. Students may choose to combine this degree program with preparation as a teacher of children with visual impairments to attain dual competency.
