Spanish Minor (23 hours)

Program Requirements

Up to 8 retroactive credits for SPAN 2000 and SPAN 2010 may be awarded, but these credits do not count toward a major.

SPAN 5570 and SPAN 5580 cannot be included in this minor.
All courses must be completed with a grade of “C” or better.

Twenty-three hours beyond the 1000-level to include:

SPAN 2000 - Intermediate Spanish I Credits: 4 hours
SPAN 2010 - Intermediate Spanish II Credits: 4 hours
SPAN 3160 - Spanish Composition Credits: 3 hours
SPAN 3170 - Spanish Conversation Credits: 3 hours

Two of the following courses:

SPAN 3210 - Life and Culture of Hispanics in U.S. Credits: 3 hours
SPAN 3220 - Life and Culture of Spain Credits: 3 hours
SPAN 3230 - Life and Culture of Spanish America Credits: 3 hours
SPAN 3240 - Introduction to the Study of Spanish Linguistics Credits: 3 hours
SPAN 3250 - Introduction to the Study of Spanish Literature Credits: 3 hours

One additional Spanish courses at the 3000 level or above.
