The Graduate Certificate Program for Nurse Educator provides postgraduate students with the functional knowledge, understanding and skills needed for classroom and/or clinical teaching, preparing them to:
- Develop pedagogical activities/assignments to promote student learning
- Use assessment and evaluation strategies effectively
- Participate in curriculum design and evaluation of program outcomes
- Pursue continuous quality improvement in the nurse educator role
- Engage in scholarship, service and leadership
Admission Requirements:
- BSN, MSN or doctoral nursing degree from an accredited institution
- Scholastic GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Official Transcripts (from all post-secondary schools)
- Goal Statement specifically addressing professional teaching goals
- Current Resume/CV
- Evidence of current nursing license from an authorized state

Program Requirements:
The Nurse Educator certificate consists of 9 credit hours using the following courses:
