The Master of Arts in Global Leadership and Learning provides students with the opportunity to examine leadership and organizational learning within a global context. As the practice of global leadership requires an increasingly complex set of skills, as compared to leadership in a domestic context, this graduate program will equip students with critical strategies necessary for inclusive global leadership in a variety of educational and organizational learning contexts.
Admission Requirements
In addition to meeting the requirements of the Graduate College, all applicants must possess a baccalaureate degree, provide a statement outlining their prior international experiences, intended career goals, submit three letters of recommendation, and their reasons for pursuing the Master of Arts in Global Leadership and Learning. Persons who wish to apply to this graduate degree should review the application requirements found at on the Department of Educational Leadership, Research, and Technology’s webpage (wmich.edu/leadership). Admission decisions will be made by the department’s faculty, following a review of the applicant’s admission materials.

Program Requirements
Students will complete a planned program of study consisting of 30 hours of course work with an overall grade point average of 3.0 or better, with no course grade below a “C”. Courses Required to Complete the Master of Arts Degree (30 hours minimum):
Global Leadership and Learning Core
Focused Elective
Credits: 3 hours Students without a significant international experience (e.g., having lived, traveled, or worked abroad) will be required to complete a field experience related to global leadership and learning or an approved study abroad program as their guided elective to successfully complete program degree requirements. |
