PHIL 3140 - Philosophy and Public Affairs


A philosophical examination of principles and values underlying contemporary social issues. The course will focus on specific issues such as environmental concerns, animal rights, abortion, privacy, censorship, world hunger, economic justice, business ethics, violence, war, peace, and utopian ideals. Topics to be announced in the Schedule of Classes. This course satisfies WMU Essential Studies Level 2: Exploration and Discovery – Societies and Cultures Category.
