ED 4300 - Creativity in the Elementary Classroom

An exploration of the contents, processes and achievements of dance, music, theatre, and visual arts and their application as a primary media for communication, inquiry, and insight among elementary students. Emphasis is placed on development of arts literacy, the teacher as problem-solver and creative artist, and the integration of creative processes and structures in elementary school curriculum and instruction that encourages creative problem solving in children.

Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisite: LS 3780 and completion of six (6) credit hours in fine arts.
