IHS 6340 - Health and Human Services Current Issues Seminar


Analyzes current issues in health care and human services, including psycho-social aspects of disease and wellness, and recent trends in health promotion and education. Topics include evidence-based medicine, patient/client-centered care, and risk management. The course also examines the research on strategies for quality and cost control, measurement of outcomes, and service evaluation.

Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisite: Admission to the Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Health Studies or permission of director.

Credits 3 hrs.
