SWRK 6600 - Seminar on Social Work Practice with Individuals, Families, and Groups

This course provides a conceptual framework for understanding, analyzing, and implementing social work practice with individuals, families, and groups from various theoretical perspectives within a “systems” frame of reference. The ultimate goal is for students to initiate the development of a practice model that is logically sound and consistent with their convictions and style and congruent with professional social work values. This course also focuses on the concrete relationship building, maintenance skills, and knowledge necessary for working with diverse human systems. Such diversity should include gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, age, physical capabilities, socio-economic status, and political orientations.

Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisite: Admission to the Advanced Standing Program.
