BIOS 5445 - Human Ecology Students will examine patterns of distribution and abundance of Homo sapiens and the ecological processes that generate these patterns, through lectures, reading, multi-media, interactive discussion and dissemination of research and understanding. We will also consider the concept of carrying capacity and the dynamics of human population change in relation to the human niche and changing patterns of resource availability. This course is approved to cover the Capstone requirement for the Biology and Biomedical Sciences majors.
Credits: 3 hours
