ED 6150 - Play and Young Children’s Learning Students will develop understanding and appreciation of the nature of play in humankind, and of the relationship of play to humanity’s artistic endeavor, invention, and problem-solving, and will look at play from historical and anthropological points of view. Emphasis will be placed on the stages of play in young children, and on the intimate relationship between play and young children’s cognitive and affective development. Students will make practical application to their own curriculum for children.
Credits: 3 hours
