ED 6700 - Authority and Autonomy in Schooling This course examines definitions of and theories about authority and autonomy as well as the ways in which the two are interpreted and integrated in today’s schools. Conceptual and clinical links between critical elements in schooling are analyzed, e.g. teacher/student relationships, teaching, learning, authority and autonomy. The diverse ways in which authority and autonomy combine to create and impact school and classroom environments are investigated.
