HPHE 6910 - Psychological Preparation and Mental Training for Sport and Physical Activity This course is designed to provide physical activity professionals with an applied view of the broad field of sport/exercise psychology. Students will be presented with theory and related research on the various constructs affecting psychological preparation and mental periodization for physical activity. Students will also be given an opportunity to explore mental training techniques and intervention strategies for sport competition. Course content helps develop mastery level competence in a number of Domains in the National Standards for Sport Coaches.
Credits: 3 hours
