MATH 6880 - Research Tools in the Mathematical Sciences This course consists of various computer applications and computer network activities that are commonly used in mathematics or mathematics education research, including mathematical word processing, computer algebra systems, literature searches, qualitative data analysis tools, and the use of Internet resources. Enrollment is limited to students in a graduate degree program in mathematics or mathematics education. Students must satisfactorily complete an approved number of modules per credit hour selected. If the course is repeated, different modules must be completed. Certain departmental degree programs may require the completion of specific modules.
Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisite: Department approval.
Credits: 1 to 3 hours
Notes: May be repeated for credit. Open to Graduate students only.
