PAPR 6600 - Mechanics and Optics of Paper and Fibers The mechanics and optics of individual fibers and fiber networks will be considered from both theoretical and measurement standpoints. Stress-strain-analysis, theory of elasticity and flow, statics, reflection, absorption, transmission, and light scattering of these systems will be covered.
Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisite: MATH 3740 or equivalent.
Credits: 3 hours
Notes: Open to Graduate Students Only. Lecture Hours - Laboratory Hours: (2 - 3) When Offered: Every other Spring.
