PHYS 6700 - Atomic Physics This course covers atomic structure, atomic spectra, second quantization of the electromagnetic field, the interaction of radiation and matter, resonance phenomena, and the formal theory of scattering with applications to atomic collisions.
Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisite: PHYS 6230 or instructor approval.
Credits: 3 hours
