PSCI 6640 - The Nature of Political Inquiry and Analysis An examination of the principles underlying the systematic study of politics. Included are discussions of such basic questions as: How do we obtain knowledge of politics?; How do we explain political phenomena? and What is the relationship between the empirical analysis and normative evaluation of political phenomena? Attention will be given to leading approaches to the study of politics and the formulation and use of concepts, generalizations and theories.
