PSY 5260 - Human Drug Use and Abuse This course provides a general overview of basic pharmacological principles, discusses the behavioral and physiological mechanisms of action of several classes of medicinal and recreational drugs, and surveys the factors thought to contribute to responsible and irresponsible drug intake. Although human drug use and abuse are the primary focus of the course, nonhuman research findings are emphasized where appropriate.
