SPPA 6160 - Instrumentation in Audiology This course introduces the basic principles and applications of electronics and electronic instruments as they pertain to audiology. The first section of the course will be an introduction to basic principles of DC and AC electronics, with a particular focus on the concept of electrical impedance. The second section of the course will consist of a survey of the principles of operation and use of a variety of instruments that are used to generate, record, reproduce, control, calibrate, and measure electrical signals.
Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisite: Department approval.
Credits: 3 hrs.
