HPHE 3970 - Exercise and Sports Nutrition The purpose of this course is to educate students in various aspects of nutrition, sports nutrition, body composition, and weight management techniques. The course will cover the topics of macro-and micro-nutrients, the assessment and interpretation of dietary intake, the application of nutrition to sport-specific performance, the assessment and interpretation of body composition, and the principles of weight management. Laboratory exercises will support the theoretical knowledge provided in the classroom.
