THEA 3720 - Contemporary Musical Theatre History and Script Analysis: Oklahoma! to Hamilton A historical overview of the development of musical theatre from 1943 to the present to advance study and understanding of contemporary history, social trends, and issues contextualized through the art form of musical theatre. Representative scripts will be analyzed within their historical context. This course satisfies WMU Essential Studies Level 2: Exploration and Discovery – Artistic Theory and Practice Category.
