GEOS 1050 - Dinosaurs


This course takes a multidisciplinary approach to dinosaurs with emphasis on the interaction between dinosaurs and their environment. The course will define what is a dinosaur using the scientific method. Discussion of the interactions between dinosaurs and their environment will cover topics such as predator-prey interactions, disosaurian behavior, and mortality. Supporting evidence for dinosaur evolution and extinction will be described. The role of dinosaurs in modern culture will also be explored. This course satisfies WMU Essential Studies Level 2: Exploration and Discovery – Science and Technology Category.
