LANG 1750 - Intercultural Odyssey This course is an introduction to creative and critical thinking in an intercultural context. It will use literature and film from outside of the U.S. to stimulate intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and cross-cultural understanding while engaging students in examining themes central to the human experience. The themes may vary along with the texts under consideration but will include ways that different societies have reflected upon and shaped individual identity, self-expression, and the struggle for survival. This course satisfies WMU Essential Studies Level 1: Foundations – Inquiry and Engagement: Critical Thinking in the Arts and Humanities Category.
