MBA 6005 - Accounting for Managerial Decision Making This course is intended to provide MBA students with an understanding of the use of accounting information for managerial decision making. Students will leave the course with skills necessary for managers to make decisions regarding such topics as the costing of products and services, pricing of products and services to maximize profitability, allocations of costs, appropriate uses of budgets and performance evaluation reports, and be able to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of using accounting measures for performance evaluation.
Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisite: Prior accounting undergraduate junior level equivalent course like ACTY 2100 or MBA entry basic course similar to ACTY 6010.
Credits: 3 hours
Restrictions Enrollment in HCOB graduate business courses requires admission to the MBA or MSA program or the approval of the Director of Graduate Business Programs. Notes: Open to graduate students only, When Offered: Fall, Spring, Summer I, Summer II
