MBA 6006 - Marketing for Managerial Decision Making This course is designed to present how marketing theory is used by organizations to create customer value, achieve and sustain competitive advantage and to accomplish their strategic mission and objectives. Specifically, we will examine how companies (both profit and nonprofit) define appropriate consumer segments, develop products and services (as well as pricing and distribution strategies) to fit the needs of these consumers, while effectively communicating the differential advantage of their offerings. Students are expected to develop a solid understanding of marketing terminology, concepts, and strategies and how to apply these concepts in analyzing and solving marketing problems. Finally, students will be proficient in developing and presenting strategic marketing initiatives in a professional manner.
