ENGL 6920 - Theory and Practice in Teaching English Language Arts

An advanced course in English language arts pedagogy designed to prepare students to teach successfully in grades 7-12 English language arts, including intensive study of theory and practice of teaching reading, writing, and literature. This course includes content and assessments that address the Michigan Department of Education English language arts standards for teacher certification.

Credits: 3 hours

Notes: Open only to students enrolled in the WMU College of Education and Human Development’s Master of Arts in Teaching – Secondary Education program.
