CHEM 5310 - Advanced Physical Chemistry This course explores topics beyond the scope of the Foundations course. These include a deeper look at chemical kinetics and statistical mechanics; symmetry, structure, and spectroscopy; surface chemistry; elementary computational methods; and other topics as time permits.
Note: Open to upper-level undergraduate and graduate students.
Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisites: CHEM 1120 and (CHEM 3700 or CHEM 3750) and CHEM 4350 and PHYS 2070, with a grade of “C” or better
Note: MATH 2720 or equivalent is highly recommended.
Credits: 3 hours
