CHEM 6100 - Advanced Inorganic Chemistry Covers the principles in inorganic chemistry and the chemical elements. Such topics as extranuclear structure of the atoms, periodic classification of the elements, valency and the chemical bond, complex ions and coordination compounds, acids and bases, and nonaqueous solvents are included in the study of chemical principles. The remainder of the course concerns the chemical elements and their compounds.
Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisite: CHEM 5150.
Credits 3 hrs.
