PHIL 5070 - The Continental Tradition in Philosophy


An examination of the Continental tradition in Philosophy. Topics may vary from term to term. Examples include: phenomenology, existentialism, post-modernism, structuralism, deconstructionism, critical theory, and hermeneutics.

Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisites: 12 credit hours in Philosophy, including PHIL 301.

Credits 2-4 hrs.

Notes:
Open to Upperclass and Graduate Students. Undergraduates with junior or senior status and at least 12 hours of course work in philosophy may enroll in 5000-level courses. Specific prerequisites may be added to individual courses. May be repeated for credit, with advisor’s approval, when topics vary.
