HPER 6600 - Governance and Administration of Sport

This course serves as an introduction to the management, governance, and leadership of interscholastic, intercollegiate, corporate, and amateur sport. Focus will be directed towards general management and leadership principles, as well as specific competency areas required by all sport managers. This course serves as the introductory course for the Sport Management master’s degree concentration by providing a conceptual foundation for future courses in financial management, personnel management, risk management, and facility and event management and promotion.
