MUS 5180 - Improvisation

A course in the fundamentals of instrumental improvisation. Assignments will be made in such areas as improvisation in the early music tradition, improvisation on given melodic, harmonic, and/or rhythmic materials, as well as “free” improvisations.

Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisite: MUS 1610.

Credits 2 hrs.
